What we can remove
We pick up kitchen islands of all sizes. This includes the base cabinets and the countertop if it is still attached or sitting on top.
- Large center islands
- Rolling kitchen carts
- Islands with breakfast bars
- Built-in islands (once detached)
Utilities and disconnection
Many islands have electrical outlets or even sinks. These must be safely disconnected and ready for removal before pickup. Space Back Junk Removals does not perform utility, gas, electrical, refrigerant, or plumbing disconnections.
Weight and size
Islands can be very large and heavy. We need to know if the island is in one piece or if you have already taken it apart. Photos help us determine how many people we need to send to your home.
How removal works
Tell us about your kitchen island and send a few photos. Once we provide a quote, we will schedule a time to come and haul it away. We do the heavy lifting from your kitchen to our truck.
No demolition service
We are a junk removal service, not a remodeling contractor. The island must be detached from the floor and walls. If it is still bolted down, please let us know when you contact us.
Request a quote
Ready to clear space in your kitchen? Tell us what you need gone and send us a few photos. We will provide a free quote for the island removal.
Common questions
Do you take the bar stools too?
Yes, we can take bar stools or chairs. Just let us know how many you have so we can include them in the quote.
Can you remove an island with a stone top?
Yes, we can, but we need to know the size and material so we can bring the right crew and equipment.
Does the island have to be moved outside?
No, we can pick it up right from your kitchen as long as there is a clear path to the door.
